The sorcerer’s of ancient Mexico discovered that we have a companion for life. We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don’t do so. ~ Don Juan, The Active Side of Infinity
The predator is in everything. It is all over the place and it is time to unplug even further, to remove myself completely from outlandish situations that are nothing but futile. To falter in the principles of necessary and continual stalking will not survive the predator and the beautiful lines of awareness will collapse into a dense, tangled mess. The luminous fibers that stretch to infinity that we dance upon fall, like broken spider webs, and if we don’t care for the web and fuse the broken filaments to strengthen them once again or weave new strands or create new fibers, we can remain trapped in the dense, tangled mess for as long as it takes to regain our awareness and break free of it.
The tangled mess reeks of the predator and there is too much negativity, fear, doubt, and suspicion lurking there. When we give our power to that we have no choice but to feel powerless, pathetic and toxic. The predator is strong, super strong, and has the capacity to suck us in if we are incapable, even for a minute, of being stronger than it. I can no longer feed the predator nor can I help anyone to strengthen their own stories that are ultimately food for the predator. To do so is too much of a compromise and costs too much. This is why don Juan said that the path of a warrior is a constant battleground.
And so today I declare sovereignty, and endeavor to erase personal history at a much deeper level than I had ever anticipated before. As a devoted female warrior it is my intention to be strong, to dance with audacity around the eagle; a constant reminder to others not to falter in this wild dance of beautiful and unfathomable mystery in which nothing can control us and that we have no control over. Aligning with intent. Over and out.
Little by little you must create a fog around yourself; you must erase everything around you until nothing can be taken for granted, until nothing is any longer for sure, or real. Your problem now is that you’re too real. Your endeavours are too real; your moods are too real. Once people know you, you are an affair taken for granted and from that moment on you won’t be able to break the tie of their thoughts. You must begin to erase yourself. ~ Don Juan, Journey to Ixtlan
