The Net of Oneness

Connect with the Earth; she will boost you beyond your wildest dreams. The alignment of her emanations with yours will deliver you into the amazing net of oneness, with humility, gratitude, and utter simplicity. This net, this web of creation, is where all dreams and visions are born, and from where we have the freedom to assemble our new reality in order to dance awake our own dream. ~ Nayeli, Becoming Awareness

We recently took a jeep tour through the bottom of Canyon de Chelly in Chinle, AZ with a Navajo guide. The canyon is not accessible without a guide if you are not Navajo except for a couple of places where you can hike down by foot, as we had many years ago. It was a beautiful journey as the 1,000 foot tall stone cliffs revealed Anasazi ruins, sentinels, and ancestors at every turn throughout this magnificent canyon.

One of the few things that I have included in my book, from another lineage, is the Navajo Beauty Way prayer. It was serendipitous to listen as our Navajo guide spoke this prayer to us in both English and Navajo as we entered into the Canyon. He played his flute while we walked around the base of Spider Rock. The entire four-hour journey was one of connection, balance, and beauty; the incredible web of creation existing in harmony in this canyon and a wonderful reminder of simplicity and peace in a part of the world that has been untouched for centuries.

It begins in beauty…

…it is finished in beauty.

Keep dancing!

    • Yes, exactly.

The concept of sa’ah naaghaii bik’eh hozho is more commonly known as hozho in the shorthand.  Sa’ah naaghaii bik’eh hozho consists of two distinct phrases that together form a unity.  The whole phrase exemplifies a model of balance in living.  At the core of its meaning, hozho is about balance.  It is about health, long life, happiness, wisdom, knowledge, harmony, the mundane and the divine.  For the Navajo people, hozho represents a synthetic and living description of what life on the surface of planet Earth should be, from birth until death at an old age. – Robert Drake

  1. The ancestors lived in beauty, walked in beauty, hand in hand with the spirit. Thank you for these wonderful photos that take our imaginations back to a distant time in a magical place, and forward as a reflection of our inner aspirations.
