A Circle is a Reflection of Eternity

Everything the Power of the World does is done in a circle. The sky is round, and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball, and so are all the stars. The wind, in its greatest power, whirls. Birds make their nests in circles, for theirs is the same religion as ours. The sun comes forth and goes down again in a circle. The moon does the same, and both are round. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were. The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves. – Chief Black Elk, Black Elk Speaks

I created this video to feature the beauty and strength of circles in our natural and created world. Circles are the strongest structural shape, and in nature, the sphere is the strongest three dimensional shape. This is because the energy and pressure is distributed equally along the arc instead of concentrating at any one point. Buckminster Fuller created the geodesic dome and the domes are durable and sturdy because of a structural principle called tensegrity. Tensegrity comes from the words tension and integrity and refers to the relationship between tension and compression.

Carlos Castaneda used the word tensegrity in reference to the magical passes he created that incorporate the driving forces of stretching, movement, and intention. He claimed that the magical passes yielded a stronger, more flexible, and more aware physical body. In addition, the practice of his magical passes allows practitioners to break the fixation of their assemblage points to arrive at extraordinary states of fluidity in perception. Though I understand the concept and premise of the magical passes, I found them to be a bit tedious and personally never utilized them. Dancing has always worked best for me.

That said, “dance and chants” or sometimes just sitting still and chanting are very powerful methods for connecting with higher consciousness. Bija is a Sanskrit word that translates to “seed” and refers to the origin of all creation. Bija mantras are seed mantras and the syllables contained within the chants allow the person chanting to energetically connect to the point of origin to affect the physical form and thus, serves to break the fixation of the assemblage point.

Everything in life is a vibration and from vibration comes creation. Natural creations that come from the earth are the result of an underlying vibration whether it is a flower or a snowflake and many of those creations take form as a circular shape in response to a particular vibration. Manmade creations from insignias to teepees to stone circles are also the result of vibrations that are found in atoms and are often designed in the form of circles. Circles represent many things including totality, wholeness, eternity, and perfection. It is believed that Source energy or Spirit resides in the center of the circle creating an energetic vortex or portal of sorts.

When seed syllables are chanted, the frequencies impact each and every cell in the body through sound vibration. Each of the syllables vibrates a part of the body pulling awareness and into all the chakras and throughout the entire body. Imagine it as toroidal energy that resonates within you and all around you. Your body resonates with a multitude of different frequencies simultaneously and in so doing brings you to greater balance, wellness, with deeper clarity and seeing.

Chakras are also referred to as spinning energy wheels and most people are familiar with the seven most common chakras. However, there are actually 114 chakras related to the human body, two of which reside outside the body within the human aura. These are known as the seat of the soul chakra which allows us to connect with infinite energy and freedom, and the stellar gateway chakra which, through the highest of vibrations, allows us to open up to new worlds. Some believe that there are more than two chakras outside of the human body. Everything is possible and everyone perceives differently.

The seed syllables that correspond with each of the seven common chakras are as follows:

The seed syllable that most people are aware of is “OM” which echoes the primordial sound of the universe. The bible says, “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God.” The “word” was actually OM, not a word at all, but a sound, a vibration that resonated from the point of origin – creation.

In this video you will hear many more syllables besides those designated to the seven chakras referenced above. The syllables contained within this chant create vibrations of sound throughout every single part of the body, the seed syllables connect to the primary elements of earth (Lang), water (Vang), fire (Rang), air (Yang), and cosmos (Hang). These sounds alone have the potential to awaken Kundalini energy which sits at the base or root chakra. When the Kundalini is aroused through sound vibration, it travels up the spine causing the unconscious to awaken into supreme consciousness by activating vast areas of the brain that typically lie dormant.

Keep in mind that the seed syllables are directly connected with the flower of life. Each “seed” of life begins in an embryonic state that is somewhat a rounded; a sphere, circle, ovoid, or even oblong yet the tensegrity exists to protect the lifeform within. Humans, plants, trees, animals, insects, or marine life including coral originate from embryogenesis. Everything begins from a circle.

When you listen to the chant in its entirety (link below), and focus on the breath, you will become purified as the illusory self disintegrates and you become reunited with the highest order of consciousness. You essentially become energetically aligned to the vibration of the universal pulse of all creation.

For the full fifteen minute chant and to pull energy and awareness into the chakras in your body, you can close your eyes and allow the sound vibration of the chant to realign your energy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnOMFl0H2Xw.

If people stand in a circle long enough, they’ll eventually begin to dance. – George Carlin

I absolutely love these sounds . I haven’t been able to meditate for about 6 months now for some strange reason so I’ll try tomorrow with these sounds and see where it sends me .
    Namaste 🙏

  2. Hi Lorraine!

Good to see a new post from you! It is excellent.

Just letting you know that I composed a detailed comment. Although I was able to “like” your post using my WordPress avatar, the comment platform would not allow me to log in! Eventually, I just signed in with my name and email address, but my comment still did not show up. I even restarted my computer and disabled the pop-up blocker in my browser, to no avail. Maybe it’s there and you’re in process of reviewing comments. Either way, I thought I’d let you know.

Also, Ron and I are still not solid on our AZ travel dates, but will keep you apprised.

Wishing you a wonderful new year of dancing to your heart’s delight!

    Warmly,

    Sharine.

      • Thank you, Lorraine! In my frustration about the WP login issues, I forgot to mention that I L-O-V-E your new video! What a fabulous message! One of the things I said in my post-that-didn’t-post is that during the video, I kept thinking of the round belly of a pregnant woman, ready to birth a new little living breathing world into the bigger living world!

  3. my 5 year old grandson is dancing as i open and read your delightful new post. Yoga harmonized my kundalini experience. but because i am a bit of a contrary, the energy came down from my crown in a flood of sound and light. a different dance from decades ago. thank you for keeping your dance so open. i had a dream visit from a violet eyed petit woman with short dark hair who acting as a spirit healer has been helping me release my angry.
all the everyday challenges as ever, but the inner response is much more centered. keep dancing.

    • Hi Jack! I’m so happy to hear that your little one is dancing, it brings me great joy. The schools around the world need to cut the crap and give the kids an hour to dance everyday. Talk about shifting the assemblage point of the earth! I don’t really think it matters if the energy comes in through the crown or the root. I’ve been a Reiki master for 25 years and to be honest with you I have always preferred to begin my session at the heart chakra. When breathing deeply into the heart chakra, the lungs expand and this becomes the source of life and ultimate wholeness. From there I would have my clients breathe energy into all of their other chakras and the channels would open much quicker and more fully, further stimulated by the love emanations from the heart chakra. As I type this I think of the heart/lungs as the center of the body with energy rippling out from there in a…circular manner! Do what works best for you without attachment to conventional methods. Keep dancing with your grandson!

    • Hi Vladan, To be honest, I’m not very familiar with Lujan’s work. What I do remember about him from years ago is that he seems to be more energetically diverse than a lot of the zealous Castaneda followers I have encountered throughout my life. I appreciate him for that because it shows that he is actually doing the work, incorporating a wide range of energetic modalities, and evolving not only himself but those who are interested in the work he does. Maybe another reader can share their perceptions. Thanks for asking.
