Knowing the Unknowable

Whatever is beyond our capacity to perceive is the unknowable. And the distinction between it and the knowable is crucial. Confusing the two would put seers in a most precarious position whenever they are confronted with the unknowable. Most of what’s out there is beyond our comprehension. ~ The Fire from Within

My journey has provided me the opportunity to engage with those who would consider themselves to be highly spiritual people. Most claim to have “memories” of having lived a past life or even many past lives. I have met numerous people who claim to have past life recollections of being Mayan Priestesses, Cleopatra, Siddhārtha, Crazy Horse, Pocahontas, John the Baptist, Gandhi, Joan of Arc, Jesus, the Virgin Mary, etc. How is it possible that so many can claim to have been one person?

Question the Answers!

I am already given to the power that rules my fate. And I cling to nothing, so I will have nothing to defend. I have no thoughts, so I will see. I fear nothing, so I will remember myself. Detached and at ease, I will dart past the eagle to be free. ~ The Eagle’s Gift

This quote spun through my mind all night. It has been one of my favorite quotes for many years. My thoughts, last night, encompassed the meaning of karma, the beliefs surrounding it, its effects and the illusion of it.

The Buddhists say that everything is an illusion. If this is so then karma must be an illusion as well. For most Americans, karma functions like fate, i.e. bad karma/good karma and is far too often associated with punishment/reward. In the true Buddhist sense, however, the word karma is more aligned with the sorcerers meaning of the word intent. The basic meaning of karma is action and the best definition for intent is the movable force.

Losing Human Form

Everything we say is a reflection of the world of people. You talk and act the way you do because you’re clinging to the human form. ~ Don Juan, The Power of Silence

The dominant paradigm is a by-product of the foreign installation. It challenges humans to comply with a prescribed mode of behavior that does not inherently belong to them. It has been ingrained since the time of conception and is cultivated throughout the lifetime of each human, dictating to them how to act, speak, and conduct themselves in alignment with the unconscious culture, the people that keep the wheel spinning, each of them a mere cog in the wheel.

Warrior’s Path of Freedom

A recent discussion with a long-time friend who has walked this warrior’s path raised some good questions about the energy of this paradigm potentially becoming a trap when a person attempts to understand it on the deepest levels. This conversation has come up before and this seemed like a good time to discuss it.

Castaneda’s books are an incredibly detailed account of his journey of awareness. The books are, at times, repetitive and even contradictory but his point was to drive home the larger awareness in a way that could be perceived and understood by almost all people. For years my advice to aficionados has been to “connect to the energy behind the words”. As a woman, this is easy for me. Most men on this path approach the stories with much more ration than is possible for me thereby making the stories a necessity for them.

Ocean of Awareness

t’s not the people around you who are at fault, don Juan said. They cannot help themselves. The fault is with you, because you can help yourself, but you are bent on judging them, at a deep level of silence. Any idiot can judge. If you judge them, you will only get the worst out of them. All of us human beings are prisoners, and it is that prison that makes us act in such a miserable way. Your challenge is to take people as they are! Leave people alone. ~ Don Juan, The Active Side of Infinity

In response to my outburst in my previous post a fellow warrior sent me the above quote that immediately put things back into perspective. Thank you for that. Yeah, I know. I over-reacted. The reason I go to Mexico has nothing to do with the scope of how things are assembled and arranged on a physical level, the reason I go is to immerse myself in the energy of the area and to connect with intent.
