riding the ninth wave into universal consciousness

There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those who will be afraid. They will try to hold on to the shore. They will feel they are being torn apart and will suffer greatly. Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above the water. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. – Hopi Elder, Oraibi, Arizona

an authentic state of freedom

I know people who were able to stop their internal dialogue, and they no longer interpret, they are pure perception; they are never disappointed or regretful, because everything they do starts from the center for decisions. They have learned to deal with their mind in terms of authority, and they live in the most authentic state of freedom. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

From the time of birth, human beings are bombarded with words that contain entire sets of cultural customs, theoretical paradigms, and oftentimes, deluded concepts. Entire realities are imprinted upon people and each individual methodically devises their reality in order to conform to these patterns through preconceived ideas and conceptual notions. These realities are the result of the words and definitions they have received. These words become thought forms and are upheld by most.

re-membering our infinite connection

web of lifeToo much emphasis is placed upon the personal. The burning flame of Spirit, the purity, wholeness, and wisdom, are no longer fueled and are burning themselves out. Self-identity and Spirit must be brought back into balance through individuation. This will allow for an awakening of subconscious qualities.  People will remember the nature of being human within the universe, this vast sea of awareness. They will remember why they projected themselves into human form upon the Earth in the first place. ~ Becoming Awareness

Individuation is a quest for wholeness; a remembering of the self. Without getting into the detailed psychology of the individuation process which, incidentally, includes a lot of recapitulation, when the collective unconscious is brought into consciousness we are able to re-member who we are and why we are here. This brings us to a state of balance.

Losing Form

double…a profound recapitulation is the most expedient means to lose the human form. Thus it is easier for stalkers, after recapitulating their lives, to make use of all the not-doings of the self, such as erasing personal history, losing self-importance, breaking routines and so forth. ~ Carlos Castaneda, The Eagle’s Gift

The Nagual told me that when the second attention has to be called upon to assemble itself, all that is needed is the motion of opening that door. That’s the secret of the Toltec dreamers once they are formless. ~ Carlos Castaneda, The Second Ring of Power

Throughout his books, Castaneda discusses sweeping the island of the tonal or liberating oneself from the mundane details of first attention. This basically has to do with recognizing the mold of man for what it is and freeing ourselves from the mold. Doing so allows us to view the world from a new state of perception; choosing to go beyond states of conscious awareness of the first attention and entering into the realm of dream, second attention, or the unconscious. When we connect with second attention we are able to bring ourselves into a state of natural balance. When we integrate the first and second attentions, the second attention accesses new energetic frequencies, and the first attention then organizes the new information. This integration provides heightened awareness and acute perception.

Switching Gears

EarthEnergyI now understand why it is so difficult to be able to trust in the flow of life because in order to do so, we must make a conscious choice to not allow our minds to control our every moment, our every thought. When we take a stand to be in our power, we come to recognize that our power isn’t really ours, per se, but belongs to the flow of the universe that is guiding us, providing for us, and orchestrating our life’s events with or without our approval or consent. ~ Lorraine Voss, Becoming Awareness

So what to write now? Writing a book of non-fiction is as big of a distraction as any, one that anchors the writer into patterns and stories that have, in the case of my book, already been recapitulated. While writing this book I had to recount decades of experiences and information. There was no other choice than to reconnect to the energy of all those stories. In such an arduous undertaking, there was little time for being present for dancing along new lines of awareness. Continue reading

warrior seers

Being a Warrior Seer is a philosophy, a way of life that allows us to remember our authentic self. This philosophy recognizes that the perception of the dominant paradigm is limiting and fails to integrate the abstract. In recognizing that we are part of a complex energy system we come to know that all of life is an extension of universal life force energy, or more simply, Source.

Warrior Seers do not bear arms; they arm themselves with awareness and constantly challenge themselves to evolve beyond the realm of ordinary human awareness and the limitations presented by the man-made matrix. The man-made matrix is a monotonous existence; an obsolete pattern that continues to endure through imposition. This repetitious and tedious pattern has been maintained for many centuries and causes separation from Source energy and the disregard for what it really means to live in balance and unity.

life outside the box

FB_IMG_1452906467027A warrior cannot have the luxury of following people’s ways, nor can he be a reactionary, because his freedom means to exercise other alternatives. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

This is a great quote. Our freedom is contingent upon our ability to remain awake and fluid, to not become bound by ideas, stories, and patterns. All of the paths in the world have the potential to enslave us, to turn us into followers of specific protocols, doctrines, or dogmata. It is when we decide to belong to a specific membership that we adopt the ideas of another which carries the danger, for a warrior, to act from a point of reason. This ultimately leads one to inadvertently employ or uphold bastions of judgements against those outside of their chosen and often structured beliefs; as though they have something to defend.

warriors and the four natural enemies

warriors-danceAnyone can try to become a man of knowledge; very few men actually succeed, but that is only natural. The enemies a man encounters on the path of learning to become a man of knowledge are truly formidable; most men succumb to them. – Don Juan, The Teachings of Don Juan

In The Teachings of Don Juan, don Juan discussed the four natural enemies with Castaneda. These, he explained, are fear, clarity, power, and old age. Moving through my life I have found that most warriors are able to overcome fear. They are committed to facing their fears, defying it, and eventually defeating it. In their new states of fearlessness they begin to explore new areas of awareness which brings them to a state of clarity.

Clarity, however, presents a deeper battle, one that sometimes stifles a warrior’s growth. As a warrior arrives to a state of clarity their growth may become halted because they come to believe that they have become expert seers with all the answers. This clarity, don Juan said, is hard to obtain but also blinds and prevents them from learning anything new as they impose their limited knowledge onto others through the belief that they have become powerful seers. They must come to understand that their clarity was merely a point before their eyes.

no points to defend

eagle's emanationsThe characteristic of miserable seers is that they are willing to forget the wonder of the world. They become overwhelmed by the fact that they see and believe that it’s their genius that counts. A seer must be a paragon in order to override the nearly invincible laxness of our human condition. More important than seeing itself is what seers do with what they see. ~ Don Juan, The Fire from Within

Warriors marvel at the wonder of the world. They marvel at the beauty and they marvel at the insanity. They do what they do for the love of doing it. They cry, they laugh, they know compassion, forgiveness, love, wonder, awe, fear, and sadness. They sense with every ounce of their being every single sensation or feeling that arises. It is all of these wonders and feelings that bring total awareness to a warrior. To deny yourself of that which arises is avoidance; to become attached to it is foolishness.

spiritual elders – the true dreamers

Now that you’ve met the medicine man you know there is nothing I can teach you. ~ Wanagi Hokshila, Oglala Sioux Holy Man

The wisdom elders of our society are those who, in their youth, were just like us. They were warriors of freedom seeking vision and guidance from an unnatural existence rooted in greed and power. They danced, and drummed, and chanted, and sweat, and quested, and journeyed, and explored. They questioned the answers, tested everything, rejected certain things and followed their own vision of truth and beauty.

Like many other people, as a young woman I sought out elders and wisdom teachers who could help me to understand the mysteries of life so I could find the answers to the questions I had. Some of the teachers I met were charlatans, nothing more than self-important imposters claiming to hold the keys to the kingdom. As an intuitive I quickly walked away from these self-proclaimed gurus. I have been blessed to find a few real teachers, elders who have been committed to spirit from an early age, just as I had been. Continue reading
