We live in a world where humanity has reduced itself to having such an incredible lack of integrity. The bullshit that is flying through the ethers is becoming rampant as people seem to be functioning solely from a line of energy that is rooted in self-aggrandizement in their attempts to continually affirm and maintain the false self. As I explain in my book, there are lines of energy that glow so bright, people become attracted to them on a subconscious level. Bullshit is one such ever-increasing energetic line within the false matrix. It may be best described as pathological narcissism and it is on the rise. The flyer’s mind, as don Juan refers to it, is taking over …and we now have a sedated man; trite, conventional, imbecilic.

I am already given to the power that rules my fate. Power is and power moves. This power, this energy, is an incomprehensible aspect of the eagle’s emanations which, when surrendered to, ensures our existence within this vital flow of energy while simultaneously enhancing our overall awareness. It is nearly imperative to live within a constant state of gratitude for the precious life-force energy/emanations that flow to us continuously from the eagle.

Don Juan reminds us that we must do more than just appreciate this energy flow. We must assume responsibility for it by going to war with ourselves in a fierce and endless battle to conserve and preserve this energy. Ever struggling against the monster of self-importance is what leads to a warrior’s impeccability. Clinging to nothing; defending nothing.

The Ruthlessness of a Warrior

This quote speaks of the fixation of the assemblage point of the earth. The fixation is a man-made assemblage that tells us that there is only one story on earth, one way to live and that until we are able to live in this single manner, and we will have no choice but to perfect ourselves in order to align with it. While there are multiple ways to align with the story, the point is conformism and compliance to a system of beliefs founded and grounded on authority, control and over-consumption.

Energetic Lines of Awareness

The movie The Matrix was a blockbuster hit and a sensation that still has people talking about it. My own experience with this movie very much resembled the state of pure energy and incomprehensible entities that don Juan often made reference to. My earlier post regarding The Predator was posted on another public forum to which it received quite a large number of comments and responses. The forum was not specific to the teachings of Castaneda, but rather, a site where people are attempting to move into an evolutionary realm of conscious awareness.

Transcending Self-Importance

Self-importance is our greatest enemy. Think about it – what weakens us is feeling offended by the deeds and misdeeds of our fellow men. Our self-importance requires that we spend most of our lives offended by someone. ~ The Fire from Within

Humility is a virtue that is rapidly slipping away. Self-importance is prevalent in this day and age and humility barely exists. This is unfortunate and the cause of much unrest in the world. Every spiritual belief system talks about releasing the ego yet so few people actually do it.

It is frustrating and sad to live in a world where everyone constantly needs to be right or worse yet, one-up somebody. The level of competition for existence is maddening and proof of just how many petty tyrants there are constantly surrounding us. The trick to overcoming self-importance is to ignore the petty tyrants! As long as you continue to allow a petty tyrant to push your buttons then you are still swimming in the arena of self-importance.
