The Dark World of the Predator

We have a predator that came from the depths of the cosmos and took over the rule of our lives. Human beings are its prisoners. The predator is our lord and master. It has rendered us docile, helpless. If we want to protest, it suppresses our protest. If we want to act independently, it demands that we don’t do so. They took over because we are food for them, and they squeeze us mercilessly because we are their sustenance. Just as we rear chickens in chicken coops the predators rear us in human coops. Therefore their food is always available to them. ~ Don Juan, The Active Side of Infinity

Don Juan and Carlos spoke of inorganic beings as an energetic awareness in the cosmos that don’t have form. The most common of these is The Predator which has instilled us with its mindset in order to harvest our awareness as food to sustain itself. Other inorganic beings reside in our “airspace” or alternate realities or in our minds (foreign installation). They most specifically feed off of fear because fear brings up the strongest emotion making it easy to recognize due to the humongous aura it produces. It’s all energy and the inorganics can sense it. When they do, they glom onto it and feed incessantly, if they are allowed. Some inorganic beings are adept at raising fear in people. For instance, I used to walk in the desert at night with fellow warriors to “hunt power”. One of the warriors was always preoccupied with attracting the inorganics and in holding that preoccupation would ultimately attract them. I always said out loud and sternly, “Get out of here, we have nothing for you.” If they continued to remain I would become fierce and tell them that they were pathetic and were more like petty tyrants than powerful beings and they would leave.

Raising the Spirit of the Divine Feminine

All organized religion is nothing but a very successful maneuver to put women in a lower place. Religions invoke a divine law that says that women are inferior. ~ Florinda Donner, Being in Dreaming

This quote would be more accurate if you replaced the word women with the word femininity. “All organized religion is nothing but a very successful maneuver to put femininity in a lower place. Religions invoke a divine law that says that femininity is inferior.”

Mother Earth is the divine sacred feminine and is wisdom, justice, beauty, and compassion for as long as humanity has walked upon her. She is the irresistible power that destroys old forms and brings new ones into being. She is the healer and nurturer, she is the creative force that resides within both female and male. She is warmth, radiance, and beauty. She is the power that creates life and the force that can take it away. The Divine Feminine is the unseen dimension of ourselves to which we connect to all things within the web of life.

Grounded Abstract Knowledge

A sorcerer asks himself: What is the sense of all this? Why invest my resources in something which won’t help me at all? The appointment of a sorcerer is with the unknown, he cannot commit his energy to nonsense. While you walk the Earth, collect something of true value from it, otherwise it wasn’t worth it. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

This past weekend was spent in communion with the earth; deep, heartfelt, intended unity. The earth is very abstract, abysmal, unfathomable and capable of escorting one into silent knowledge on a level that varies greatly from the silent knowledge that can be accessed by going up and out into the cosmic void of infinity. She is profoundly grounding and wise in the ways that allow you to fully grasp what it means to be in the world but not of it.

Pissed off Warrior

Everything is meaningful for a warrior. The sounds have holes in them and so does everything around you. Ordinarily a man does not have the speed to catch the holes, and thus he goes through life without protection. The worms, the birds, the trees, all of them can tell us unimaginable things if only one could have the speed to grasp their message. ~ Don Juan, A Separate Reality

Do warriors get pissed off? A lot of people tend to think that they don’t or that they shouldn’t because they are to have achieved such a state of clarity or detachment that everything just rolls off of them like the water off a duck’s back. To not experience the full range of emotions, including anger, would prevent warriors from being truly authentic and in the moment.

Mother Earth – Our Ultimate Ally

We are children of the Earth, it is our ultimate source. The option of sorcerers is to unite with the awareness of the Earth, for as long as the Earth will live. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

Don Juan described an ally as being “a power capable of transporting a man beyond the boundaries of himself”; that is, an ally was a power that allowed one to transcend the realm of ordinary reality. Consequently, to have an ally implied having power; and the fact that a man of knowledge had an ally was by itself proof that the operational goal of the teachings had been fulfilled. Since that goal was to show how to become a person of knowledge, and since a person of knowledge was one who had an ally, another way of describing the operational goal of don Juan’s teachings was to say that they also showed how to obtain an ally. The concept “man of knowledge,” as a sorcerer’s philosophical frame, has meaning for anyone who wants to live within that frame only insofar as he had an ally.

Love For No Reason at All

Almost two years ago I wrote a blog called The Love of a Sorcerer. The post begins with one of my favorite quotes by don Juan from Tales of Power; “A warrior’s love is the world. He embraces this enormous earth. The earth knows that he loves it and it bestows on him its care. That’s why his life is filled to the brim and his state, wherever he’ll be, will be plentiful. He roams on the paths of his love and, wherever he is, he is complete.”

It has always been a belief of mine that when we embrace this earth, when we are in love with her and honor her with gratitude and respect we will come to know love in a way that surpasses any all definitions that we have known love to be. A warrior’s love is so strong, so encompassing and so unique in that it is grounded and founded in total freedom. It is free of expectations, free of gratifying emotions, free of conditions and of conditioning. Most people don’t understand unconditional love. If they do something “wrong”, their conditioning is so enmeshed in the fear of having the love withdrawn that they immediately believe that they are unworthy and therefore, unlovable.

Avatar – That World is Our World

A warrior’s love is the world. He embraces this enormous earth. The earth knows that he loves it and it bestows on him its care. That’s why his life is filled to the brim and his state, wherever he’ll be, will be plentiful. He roams on the paths of his love and, wherever he is, he is complete. ~ don Juan, Tales of Power

One of my favorite quotes, previously used, will be used again. I go to the movies about once a year. I usually fall asleep. After seeing the previews for Avatar I knew that this would be my once a year theatre experience. I donned my 3-D glasses, was mesmerized for the entire three hours and never nodded off.

2012, The Dream and Organic Beings

The shamans of don Juan’s lineage saw that the essential condition of animate energy, organic or inorganic, is to turn energy in the universe at large into sensory data. In the case of organic beings, this sensory data is then turned into a system of interpretation in which energy at large is classified and a given response is allotted to each classification, whatever the classification may be. Don Juan said that the only thing shamans know about this is that the immense mass of energy called the dark sea of awareness supplies human beings with whatever is necessary to elicit this transformation of energy into sensory data, and that such a process could not possibly ever be deciphered because of the vastness of the original source.

Since returning from the pyramids in Mexico I have come to realize that my intention of going down there to connect with intent and open up to dream was an incredible success. It has been difficult for me to post for the past few of months as a result of the constant spin of information going through my mind and body. I say body because everything within my experience encompasses all the senses as though I am consistently residing on the precarious edge of some multi-universe or somehow plugged into some kind of time-travel course in awareness. Surprisingly to me was the intensity of the gateway that opened up as the result of connecting with intent. As intended prior to arriving in Mexico, I stood before each of the Chacmools that serve as guardians of the dreamtime for several of the pyramids and silently spoke my intent.

Magically Connecting with Intent

Intent in the Castaneda sense is to surrender and to be in the flow, to be connected with the greater force or the Indescribable Force that surrounds us at all times. To softly touch upon infinity with barely a ripple.

My own experience with manifesting has strengthened my ability to manifest. Each time I “put it out there” and manifest something serves to further validate the endless possibilities and potential that we each have to fully construct and create our reality. It has become clear to have no attachment to outcome and to be careful what you ask for.

While in the Yucatan this month, my traveling companion and partnered warrior on this path of knowledge and awareness joined me in simultaneous connection with intent and we walked an amazing tale of power into existence. Months ago, in the early planning stages of our journey to the Yucatan we created the intention of sharing in sacred ceremony with a Mayan shaman to further open the gateways to higher levels of awareness. We had asked several people if they knew of anyone and did some research on the internet to no avail.

Life out of Balance

If we don’t learn how to travel along the avenues of awareness, we will come to such a state of frustration and despair that humanity will end up destroying itself. Our options are the way of the warrior, or extinction. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

This quote has been on my mind daily for about a year and will not leave. It has become a type of mantra that plays over and over as I am witness to situations, occurrences and incidents that are harmful to the environment and the beautiful animal creatures that inhabit her, including us. Most of my free time is spent outdoors, in the garden, camping in the remote wilderness, walking through the desert or forest enjoying the smells, sounds and wildlife that accompanies me.
