forge into the unknown

Don’t blindly follow a path. Forge into the unknown gathering knowledge and awareness along the way. Immerse yourself into the depths of all things so that you may come to know the world through your own passion and not through the vision of another. ~ Alejandro, Becoming Awareness

We are beings who are fully capable of liberating ourselves from the repetitive patterns of humanity. By connecting with silent knowledge and aligning with universal life force energy we have access to unlimited potential for creating ourselves and our reality. How we choose to create it is entirely up to us.

seeing in a sacred manner

And while I stood there I saw more than I can tell and I understood more than I saw; for I was seeing in a sacred manner the shapes of all things in the spirit; and the shape of all shapes as they must live together like one being. ~ Black Elk

I have spoken before about unplugging from the man-made matrix; removing ourselves from the stories that hold us prisoner to fear, hate, ego, and dis-ease. The man-made matrix is essentially the dominant paradigm comprised of a system of beliefs that has been in place for thousands of years and perpetuates the separation of the human species from the earth, from all other beings, and from each other. This matrix exists, essentially, in all aspects of life. It infects our food supply, our oceans and rivers, our rain forests, our wildlife, our air. Our hearts, minds, and spirits are suffering as a result of everything this man-made matrix touches. It resembles a plague; a disease that vigorously attempts to infect everyone in its path. And since it is everywhere, we are all in its persistent path of destruction as it continually attempts to feed off of the life force of everything, ourselves included. The man-made matrix is the direct cause of all human suffering.

Black Holes or Intent?

No one created our universe, and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization; there is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that I am extremely grateful. ~ Stephen Hawking

I recently watched a fascinating documentary entitled Did God Create the Universe, narrated by Stephen Hawking. It was about how the universe spontaneously created itself out of nothing; the negative and positive forces of black holes collapsing into each other to cause the Big Bang and the resultant birth of the universe.

So this got me thinking because the whole theory, as people have been contemplating for millennia, seems to have merit; however, what about intent? Universal intelligence, life-force energy, or a higher divine power? Where is its place in the Big Bang? Did the higher power create the Big Bang? Was the higher, universal intelligence a result of the Big Bang? Will we ever know and does it even matter?

Awareness, Intent, Evolution

The grand task of seers is to bring forth the idea that, in order to evolve, man must first free his awareness from its bindings to the social order. Once awareness is free, intent will redirect it onto a new evolutionary path. ~ Don Juan, The Art of Dreaming

Once awareness is free, intent will redirect it onto a new evolutionary path. What does this mean for the warrior? To free awareness one must recapitulate, erase personal history and allow for the assemblage point (AP) to shift significantly. When the AP shifts the warrior is able to perceive in a different way, free from the impositions of a long line of stories that had been conveyed as the right or only way to live for a very long time. Think about it. If you ever watch any history shows you will recognize the patterns that have been maintained and perpetuated from generation to generation.

Once awareness is free… no longer bound to the social order, you are free to perceive energy directly. Perceiving energy directly becomes different when you no longer attempt to define, label and compare every single experience as it unfolds. This act of perceiving is alignment with intent, to be in the ultimate flow of knowing that things are the way they are for a reason that lies beyond our ability to attempt to control or change it. This is not to say that warriors should not take responsibility for their actions; what it means is that we can only be observers, witnesses to an indescribable force (intent) that is much greater than ourselves while living with integrity and being impeccable.

Don’t Chase the Bird of Freedom

The moment ideologies – including nagualism – become widespread, they become cultural mafias, schools to make people sleepy. No matter how subtle their postulates are, and no matter how much they try to validate them with personal corroboration, they end up conditioning our actions according to some form of reward or punishment, and by doing that, they pervert the very essence of the search. If the pillar of my faith is a salary, what merit does it have? ~ Carlos Castaneda

“Toltec Mastery” has become one such school to make people sleepy and this is evident in the work of those who pretend to bring this important knowledge of the Toltec forward. I am diligent in my efforts to disengage from the Toltec label since it is becoming a cult-like, dogmatic structure that has more to do with outmoded and repetitious patterns that are found in predominant worldwide religions and less than freedom.

Vanquishing the Self

In order to be a dreamer I had to vanquish the self. Nothing, but nothing, is as hard as that. The sorcerers understand freedom as the capacity to do the impossible, the unexpected – to dream a dream that has no basis, no reality in everyday life. The knowledge of sorcerers is what is exciting and new. Imagination is what a woman needs to change the self and become a dreamer. ~ Florinda Donner, Being-in-Dreaming

At some point on the path of the committed warrior it becomes necessary to deepen by shifting the assemblage point as thoroughly as possible to align with the unfathomable sea of awareness. This is more than a decision to change a routine, recapitulate a thing or break a pattern. It is a commitment to align with intent as much as possible and jump into the abyss, feet first, without looking back. In order to jump it is necessary to prepare by pooling all accessible energy and engage in the act of not-doing as much as possible.

The warrior strives to become capable of what don Juan refers to as stupendous maneuvers of perception, and in preparing for this it is necessary to vanquish the self and gain deeper access to dreaming. In order to begin to explore from a new point of perception everything has to change. The hardest decision for me was letting go of the blog and recapitulating all of it because the lines within the internet began to overwhelm me and it felt as though the lines of information I was putting forth were gathering up other lines and coming right back through the screen, through my fingertips and into me. This subtle and nearly imperceptible occurrence was beginning to fixate my assemblage point and it was time to unplug and focus on fluidity.

Seeing

If we were able to transcend interpretation and face pure perception without prejudice, the impression of a world of objects would vanish. In its place, we would witness energy as it flows in the universe. Under such conditions, the chain of other people’s thoughts would no longer have the smallest effect on us and we would not feel obliged to be or do anything. Then our senses would have no limits. That’s seeing. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

I have more questions than answers when it comes to this. And I am discovering that there really are no answers when dealing with silent knowledge, at least none that come close to what it means to be in a state of seeing from a point of pure perception. What I do know is that when the assemblage point radically shifts from its fixated location and we are forced to perceive in a new manner it takes a lot of energy to stabilize again. And for warrior travelers it is even more difficult because where the average man attempts to rebuild and reconstruct their reality exactly as it was, the warrior recognizes the radical shift as the very gift they’ve been striving for. To reconstruct their “reality” as it was, would be a repetition of a pattern instead of an act of creation.

Sorcery is the Art of Silence

Sorcerers abide by their experience. They have changed ‘believing’ for seeing. They speak of the spirit, not because they believe in its existence, but because they have seen it. Silence is a passageway between worlds. When our mind stays silent, incredible aspects of our being emerge. Starting from that moment, a person becomes a vehicle of intent, and all his acts begin to ooze power. Don Juan recommended intending inner silence directly. ~ Carlos Castaneda, Encounters with the Nagual

And so it was, an ordinary weekend just like any other. The weather was perfect and the warriors gathered together, some meeting each other for the first time. A combined intention to dance awake a new dream had been created months earlier and we each knew by connecting with intent that we were not creating a new dream, we were simply opening ourselves in our connecting link with intent to allow a new dream to emerge.

The Mystery of it All

We went for a hike today, we talked, because the mystery of sorcery must be cushioned in the mundane. It must stem from nothing, and go back again to nothing. That’s the art of warrior travelers: to go through the eye of a needle unnoticed. ~ Don Juan, The Active Side of Infinity

So simple. So easy. So ordinary. And yet! Everyday, more mystery. Everyday, no words to explain it.

Live fully within each of your own precious moments. The mystery is different for everyone and cannot be explained or described. To explain anything only serves to fixate the location of the assemblage point for both the explainer and the person to whom you are explaining your experience to. And the person who receives the explanation may begin to desire to know the mystery you are explaining in order to justify the position of their assemblage point that you unwittingly helped to fixate in the first place! Then they will not live fully in each of their own precious moments, instead becoming fixated to their desired outcome to “have” your experience (unless they are already walking in freedom). Ah, the power of silence! Keep dancing in the mystery and passing through the eye of the needle unnoticed!!!

This silent knowledge, which you cannot describe, is, of course, intent –the spirit, the abstract. Man’s error was to want to know it directly, the way he knew everyday life. The more he wanted, the more ephemeral it became. Man gave up silent knowledge for the world of reason. The more he clings to the world of reason, the more ephemeral intent becomes. ~ Don Juan, The Power of Silence

Freedom from Perception; The Third Point of Reference

In order to reach the third point of reference one must perceive two places at once. The third point of reference is freedom of perception; it is intent; it is the spirit; the somersault of thought into the miraculous; the act of reaching beyond our boundaries and touching the inconceivable. ~ Don Juan, The Power of Silence

The reference points of sorcerers are not the reference points of ordinary man. For ordinary man, points of reference are typically personal, what they’ve done and what they plan to do; a form of self-reflection and a way to justify present or future behaviors based on the past which ultimately leads to nothing more than repetitive patterns usually based on their own patterns, someone else’s patterns or interpretations of patterns complete with justification to those patterns.
